Hello Students and Parents,

Here is the information that you will need for Friday's class.

Steps to the Scientific Method:
1. Problem/Question
2. Observation/Research
3. Formulate a Hypothesis
4. Experiment
5. Collect and Analyze Results
6. Conclusion
7. Communicate the Results

A good hypothesis consists of two things. 
1. It can be tested
2. It is observable

Here are some formulas that you will need to know as well.

1. Density = Mass / Volume
2. Area = Length x Width
3. Volume = Length x Width x Height
         Volume of an irregular object can be measured in a graduated cylinder.
          Volume: 1ml = 1cm3 (This is 1 milliliter = 1 centimeter cubed)
